Penny is a mobile app in which a crew of software agents trades a paper desk on your instructions. This page says what the app and its hosted service collect, what they do with it, and what they never touch.
What we collect
- Account: your name and email address, from Google sign-in through WorkOS, to identify your desk.
- Your instructions and the desk's record: what you tell Penny, the agents it runs, every paper decision and its reason, and the resulting paper positions. This is the product; it is stored so it is there when you come back.
- Device and diagnostics: a push-notification token if you allow notifications, and operational logs and traces (request timings, errors, model usage and cost) used to keep the service working.
What we never collect
- No real-money account, bank, card or exchange credentials. Penny trades paper.
- No private keys. An owner key generated on your phone stays in your phone's keychain and never leaves it.
- No advertising identifiers, no tracking across other apps or sites, no sale of data.
Who processes it
The hosted service runs on Google Cloud (United States). Sign-in is handled by WorkOS. The agents' decisions are produced by third-party language models (via OpenRouter); the market context sent to them contains prices and your instructions, not your identity. Push notifications are delivered through Expo and Apple. Each processes data only to provide its part of the service.
Retention and deletion
Your desk's record is kept for as long as your account exists; conversation and activity retention windows are settings on your account. Email [email protected] from your sign-in address to delete your account and its record.
Not advice
Penny's paper results are simulated and are not a promise of any return, and nothing in the app is investment advice.
